Peanut Butter Balls

This is a delicious and easy to make recipe. This makes alot! Do you like Reeses cups? Make your own!!

Ingredients

1 stick (1/2 c) softened butter-not margarine
1 lb (4 c) powdered sugar
18 oz jar of crunchy or smooth peanut butter
crispy rice (optional)
1-2 lbs milk chocolate
paper candy cups
dipping tool or dipping fork

Preparation

Combine the sugar,butter and peanut butter and mix well. Roll into balls. Melt the chocolate in a bowl in the microwave for 1 min then stir. Another 30 sec if necessary.

Put a few balls at a time in the chocolate and remove with the dipping tool. Tap to remove excess chocolate. Place on parchment paper to harden or in paper candy cups.

To make buckeyes, use a toothpick to pick up a peanut butter ball, dip only 3/4 in chocolate and place on parchment to harden. The peanut butter should be showing on the top.

At Easter you can press the peanut butter mix into an egg shaped candy mold and freeze. Pop them out and dip into chocolate. You have peanut butter eggs. Wrap in candy foil. Enjoy!!
